Stumbled on this very informative post on a stocks website. Yes, stocks as in business! And what does it have to do with Paris Hilton? Umm, we all know that she has a lot of non-showbiz businesses, and many of the companies that she is connected to, such as Parlux and Sony are publicly traded. So one stocks website, Stockpickr.com, has compiled a portfolio that Paris Hilton would love — or, as she might say, stocks she would think are “hot” ^_^ Here’s what they wrote:

CBS - She wrote Confessions of an Heiress book, published by Fireside Books, a division of Simon & Schuster, owned by CBS Corporation.

PARLUX fragrance - When they first started offering Paris perfume, there was a 47 percent increase in sales of Parlux products. The hotel heiress’ perfumes include Paris Hilton, Just Me, Heiress, and Can Can. This is a very low priced stock and should be considered very speculative.

WARNER music group - owns Warner Bros. Records Inc. which owns Heiress Records founded by the blonde socialite in 2004. She has released on album and is and expected to release another album this year.

CKR - Appeared in a spicy TV commercial promoting the Paris Hilton Spicy BBQ Six Dollar Burger.

AMAZON - helped design Amazon’s Paris jewelry line.

docu film on Paris Hilton will only be shown once

Don’t worry, the “once” is only during the Toronto International Film Festival, and not during our entire lifetime! LOL! Though I’m sure detractors of Paris Hilton will love that :-p So why will it only be shown once? It’s not coz the documentary (Paris, Not France) about her is being banned in the film festival or that it is of spurious quality – in fact, it was Paris Hilton herself who wanted the one showing! At least according to a New York Post report. So, has the publicity loving actress gone shy?? Nahh! According to her rep, Jason Moore, “We felt the impact would be more extreme if we had one screening.” Gosh, what an intriguing comment! I wonder what the documentary is really all about or what unknown aspect of Paris Hilton will be shown there! To those going to the Toronto International Film Festival, tell us about your Paris, Not France experience okay??

a very busy weekend for Paris Hilton!

Of course, it’s nothing new to her – being a partygirl and businesswoman. Early Friday, Paris Hilton was at the Mondrian hotel for their relaunch party. The hotel heiress arrived with two girlfriends and was overheard saying she missed her boyfriend, Benji Madden (so where is he??). Then as night came, Paris Hilton was spotted with Lauren Conrad, Katy Perry and Eliza Dushku as Nylon magazine celebrated the launch of its TV issue. The bash, held at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel’s Tropicana Bar was also attended by “90210″ stars Shenae Grimes, AnnaLynne McCord and Jessica Stroup, who are featured on the cover of the issue. The partygoers were treated to specialty cocktails by Effen Vodka, Venom Energy Drink (did Paris Hilton take a sip? probably!) and free copies of Nylon. Next up for the blonde socialite? Presenting at MTV’s VMA awards on Sunday! Go watch guys – Britney Spears is opening it! ^_^

Paris Hilton set to appear in another political ad!

I don’t know if this has her permission or not, but most likely not coz she’s being portrayed negatively again. Tsk! According to reports, Paris Hilton is appearing in a campaign ad for a House race in San Diego. Long-shot Democratic challenger Nick Leibham compares the heiress—unfavorably—to his Republican opponent, incumbent Brian Bilbray. In the ad, Paris Hilton and Mr. Bilbray are side by side: the blonde actress in a bikini and the Republican in a Hawaiian shirt. It says both are notable for doing nothing. YIKES!!

The political ad aired before GOP presidential nominee John McCain addressed the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minnesota. It is currently running on all four major networks in the San Diego area now. Mr. Leibham’s camp declined to say how much they were spending. So, you think Paris Hilton will post a reactionary video (like what she did with Mr. McCain’s?) against this? Stay tuned!

Paris Hilton denies pregnancy rumors coz..

..she’s so far too busy to start a family. Can it be possible she’s busy and also pregnant?? LOL! If you remember, last year, Paris Hilton announced plans to become a mother- insisting she’d be pregnant within two years. Most thought she wanted to be like her erstwhile bestfriend Nicole Richie who gave birth to pretty daughter Harlow with another Madden. But now Paris Hilton is singing a different tune because she’s busy with her acting and music careers.

The hotel heiress revealed that oddball musical “Repo: The Genetic Opera” will be released on November 7, 2008 and that she’s completing work on her second solo album. She even has a duet there with current love Benji Madden! Paris Hilton says, “Right now I’m just focusing on my business and travelling around the world. There’s no time for a baby right now.” But she’s not writing off motherhood totally, she tells HollyScoop.com: “I would love to be a mother one day.”

Paris Hilton to break Malibu Beach party ban

So typical of her to break the law! Not that I’m saying Paris Hilton is a law-breaker, hehe! ;-) According to the tabloids, the hotel heiress is said to be livid that LA County Sheriff Leroy Baca has outlawed parties on Malibu’s shorelines. Apparently, Paris Hilton has a seafront home and often throws impromptu beach parties. And a friend says she’s considering breaking the ban and holding a bash to celebrate the Labor Day holiday today.

The Sheriff Baca has warned there will be strict penalties for anyone who breaks the order. But 27-year-old celebrity isn’t worried. A source tells the Daily Star, “She’s been telling people she hopes she’s dragged away with a cocktail in hand so that this issue makes headlines.” LOL! I was right, this is such a typical Paris Hilton drama! ;-) And if the name, Sheriff Baca is familiar to you, it was him who converted her 45-day prison sentence (for breaking the terms of her probation) to house arrest.

If you’re rich, famous, and gets pictured a lot, chances are you’ll start a craze. And that’s what exactly Paris Hilton and Britney Spears did. The former is often photographed holding her chihuahua, Tinkerbell, while the latter has owned three of the small-breed pets. And because of them, the number of chihuahuas insured by Sainsbury’s has leapt 417 per cent since 2006, apparently spurred on by celebrities who carry their small dogs “like fashion accessories”. Neal Devine, Sainsbury’s pet insurance manager, said:

“The publicity around celebrities like Paris Hilton and Britney Spears and their small pedigree pets has fuelled the demand for handbag dogs.”

Despite the booming business, Mr. Devine hastens to add that “A pet should never be seen as an accessory and people should not be guided by fashion trends when purchasing a pet. It’s important that you understand the physical and mental needs of a particular breed, such as how much exercise it needs, when you purchase it, and that your lifestyle enables you to accommodate this.” Paris Hilton’s lifestyle can definitely afford it!

Paris Hilton to duet with Benji Madden

According to Mirror, the hotel heiress is set to record a duet with her rocker beau Benji Madden on her new album. Paris Hilton has already been writing about her new album on her official blog, and now she’s confirmed that her other half (of a few months) is to make a cameo on it. Talking to a Los Angeles-based showbiz website Hollyscoop, Paris Hilton said:

“Well, actually I have a studio at the house. He [Benji] actually helped me write some of the songs for my new album, and for the BFF show (her new UK reality show for MTV). He’s a really amazing talent, songwriter and singer.”

Guess it’s really handy to have a rocker boyfriend on hand! =) When asked whether they would duet, Paris Hilton said: “Yes, definitely. When the [My New BFF] show comes out.” Her as-yet untitled new album will be the follow-up to her debut (‘Paris’), a #29 hit in the UK which sparked a #5 surprise hit ‘Stars Are Blind’.

According to reports, U.K.’s ITV has signed a deal with Lionsgate and Ish Entertainment to produce “Paris Hilton’s New Best Friend” which will air sometime in 2009 on ITV2. And so yeah, in effect, the hotel heiress next BFF will be sporting a British accent! ^_^ Format of the U.K. series will mirror that of the U.S. edition (MTV’s “Paris Hilton’s New BFF”) — contestants will be put through a wide variety of challenges and knocked off one by one as they compete to become one of the blond actress’ new pals. Paris Hilton has previously said,

“I need a best friend who is hot, who can keep up with me and, most of all, who is real and won’t be a backstabber.”

Paris Hilton will tape the show in October. In one departure from the MTV version, the U.K. show will highlight more of Hilton’s life in a documentary fashion. Ish’s Michael Hirschorn said “We’re working with producers in the U.K. who are highly familiar with the market and local sensibilities. Many of the challenges will be different because we’re in the U.K.”

As you may have noticed, the hotel heiress is often photographed with a sizeable cleavage these days. And it was not a thing that will go unnoticed since Paris Hilton once flaunted her petite A-cup breasts on the cover of Vanity Fair. Of course, this sparked rumors that she has had breast implants. Her rep, however, promptly denied everything. The spokesperson for Paris Hilton insisted she hasn’t had her breasts surgically altered, crediting “a prototype from her soon-to-come ‘push-up’ bra line” for the star’s enlarged cleavage. The representative adds: “Paris Hilton has never had plastic surgery.” Oh really?? Not even her perfect nose?? LOL

On other news, a documentary about the blonde starlet has joined the lineup for the Toronto International Film Festival. Adria Petty’s nonfiction Paris Hilton chronicle is entitled “Paris, Not France” and will be shown from September 4 to 13 in the said festival. This movie should be interesting — after all it’s a documentary about Paris’ life!
